When I Searched and google the internet I found out this Cousera course and fell in love with the name. It's now a long time I enrolled in a Mooc course online. In another post I will share about my love for Mooc courses, even though some are free, they are well designed to educate you just like a university would or even much more.

It is quite awhile I posted in this blog, wow, miss you blog. Congratulation to me, I have worked as a Program Advisor at UoPeople for some months now and it is real good working. Great to assist students at front ends and backends. What are the lessons learned in life of an online learner? There is something to learn everyday at work sphere and in the online study platform. It is actually different from one individual to another. What you are learning is different from what I am learning and that is what makes it comparable or better than the traditional classroom. What you gain from your online studies is what you demand and reach for, the extra study to know beyond what is taught. This would not be the duty of a course instructor, it is primarily my responsibility, because when I become a better person it is not my course instructor that gets the primary accolade, it is actually the student. So we need to look at the student community closely and ensure that as a student I am learning and actually growing.

Thinking and dreaming about something is a good thing, but actually achieving it is the better thing. Every goal and achievement starts with visualization and imagination. What you can imagine, you can eventually have or receive. It is to this end, that I started this academic journey at UoPeople and I was able to eventually succeed at it. For all new students at UoPeople, note that your vision is to achieve your academic degree and this is very possible.

Once you have started a journey and you progressed to only half of the way, you would be certified to have made progress, however, the overarching success in making progress is achieving your goal. No constraints should stop anyone from achieving his goals whatever those goals are. There are donor communities today to assist people, there are programs for financial assistance, and there are helping hands around these days. When your vision consumes and drives you, there will be a way for you to eventually win.

It is great to note that additional Programs are added to the list of courses offered at UoPeople and they are all accredited. The following courses are now being offered at UoPeople and you can apply right away for them.

“Every now and then I’m asked to document my experience as a University of the People student. As I was writing it down this morning, I thought it might be helpful to post on this blog as well. My experience at the University of the People has been better than I ever could have imagined.

After graduating high school in 2003, I made two attempts to earn a degree. In both cases I was only able to complete a few semesters before having to drop out for personal reasons. I felt like a failure and to make things worse I had racked up nearly $20,000 in student loan debt. At that point in my life, I felt as though I would never be able to get a higher education and earn a degree that would open up new doors, personally and professionally.

In 2011 I read an article online about University of the People. UoPeople claimed to be the world’s first tuition-free online university. I was skeptical – a tuition-free college education sounded too good to be true. But the idea stuck with me and from time to time I would search the internet for any news or reviews about UoPeople.
