My Ambassadorial Function: More students need the UoPeople Opportunity, lets join the mission to reach them with information

Students need the UoPeople Opportunity

It all starts with information!:

UoPeople's flier is placed in a cyber cafee in Lagos, for likely prospects to see it in Gbagada, Lagos, Nigeria. After speaking with the owner of the cafe about the UoPeople study opportunity this was pasted. Many more people are helping to spread the word about UoPeople, you too can do so.

A meeting with a barber, a lad who is a likely prospect in a barber's shop in Lagos, he could also become a student.

Meeting and talking with likely students on the street of Lagos. Behind is a mobile phone engineer who also sees this study at UoPeople as a great opportunity

Performing UoPeople ambassadorial work to me means, reaching out to get more students for UoPeople.
Most likely, these are prospecting student and everyday people that have been denied education because of one reason or the other. Some people spoken with, see UoPeople as their best chance for tertiary education.
A whole generation of youth might waste away in Africa if education is not taking very crucial and seen as a rescue mission. Thanks to UoPeople and the opportunity it offers to people in Africa and the rest of the world.

I am expecting my UoPeople Diploma Certificate in August

UoPeople Diploma Certificate in August

By the 9th week of August, I will be expecting that my diploma certificate will be sent to me from UoPeople after rigorous three years of studies. The journey has been a real challenge, with many hurdles to overcome. But like they say, it all seemed like yesterday. A UoPeople degree certificate will create many advantages for anyone especially in Africa, since it is an American degree. A UoPeople degee is an accredited degree and supported by well known international bodies.

The opportunities are limitless, already what I have learned at UoPeople are opening my eyes to opportunities and UoPeople is always redefining itself, telling me that I always have to become better also. I will definitely love to do my masters in UoPeople when it gets started. Most likely, I will be one of the first Masters student at UoPeople. Although UoPeople is presently running survey in choosing the best courses among;

Masters in Public Health,
Masters in Management,
Masters in Entrepreneurship,
Masters in Computer Science,
Masters in Business Analytics,

I will opt for the Masters in Management Program since I am already in the Business Administration/Project Management line. UoPeople is an exciting learning instrument for everyone.

...Mr. President Shai Rashef, I agree, the UoPoeple vision is such a prestigious vision. This is me and President Shai at Abuja, Nigeria. The UoPeople presidents visit different countries. He might come around your country soon. You too can become a student by starting your application today!

Plans to Meet Mrs Adeola Ogechi in Lagos, Nigeria in July 2014

Mrs Adeola Ogechi in Lagos, Nigeria in July 2014

Planning to meet the assistant Dean of Business Administration at UoPeople in Lagos Nigeria is my next ordeal. July 2014 is our proposed meeting date. Last month she was not around much to attend to my visit.

Now that she is around, I am yet to finalize on when to meet her either at Pan African University in Lekki, Lagos or wherever she chooses for us to me. I will be going to see Adeola Ogechi, she is someone you want to meet at UoPeople. And I have a bias towards that expression because she is my fellow Nigerian... As soon as I meet her, I will share my experience on this blog.

Cheers!

Letter to Olamide, UoPeople Prospect 0n 27/06/2014

UoPeople Prospect 0n 27/06/2014

I came across a program in 2010 while desperately looking for options towards my educational life. My search led me to a School named UoPeople, at first that name scared me a little too, but the integrity of the website won my affinity and attention.
A little preface, at 400 Level, professed to be a graduating student which I knew I was not. I left OSU(Ogun state university) now OOU (Olabisi Onabanjo University) with no certificate of any sort. I
told God at a time while in OSU that I didn't want to graduate with a OSU certificate, and I asked God for a foreign education instead, I was not surprised that happened. After leaving OSU when I could at 400L, I tried to do business knowing that in naija no certificate means no job. After running real estate business for a while, I just felt a sense of emptiness, apart from that I was worried about not having a certificate with all the grammar wey I dey speak.

Along the way I left RCCG to join HICC which was a youthful church, to engage in their spiritual foundation and leadership class called IMPACT academy then. I finished the class then and that helped me spiritually. While in the church, I worked at the church office and for the 1 year plus that I was there I was not paid salary, because I was a volunteer staff, while thinking about my education, one night after work hours in the church office, I did thorough internet search for online scholarship sponsored academic program. I ran into a website listing many foreign scholarship program. UoPeople was listed.

That was it, I registered sharply as an OSU guy, I sent my documents to the school, they replied me. I had to reach my secondary school, they also replied me. I did all the required thing for admission.
Afterwards, UoPeople reached me and gave me scholarship to study in their online school. Luckily, when I was registering no fees were applicable at UoPeople. But that has changed since then because
UoPeople has to remain sustainable, due to financial obligation to keep school standardized technology-wise, pay staffs, advertise, pay lecturers/instructors etc.

Register today, UoPeople could be a miracle for you too!

Today, my family's worry over my education and lost time has reduced, my HR brother(Leke Oshiyemi) already said he his proud of me. Mind you, UoPeople still offers scholarship till date, though there is now a formal structure around it. But many students are benefiting from the scholarship. UoPeople don't want any student to say, I am not educated because I don't have a sponsor, UoPeople tried to resolve that headache.

Today, I am back in RCCG with a leadership spirit and a renewed mind that anything is possible.
By August 2014, I would have received a Diploma certificate in Business Administration from
UoPeople and by 2015 the Bsc in Business Administration. I hope this synopsis will convince you to do just the right thing....

(Letter to Olamide my friend, whose best man I was, and now a uopeople student prospect).

Cheers!

UoPeople President and Colleagues as captured in Abuja, Nigeria

UoPeople President and Colleagues as captured in Abuja, Nigeria

I and UoPeople colleagues meeting with the University of the People President in Abuja May 10th 2014 at Abuja. Really a pretty great outing if I may recall.

It was a time to ruminate with President Shai Rashef and a rare privilege, knowing his busy schedule and all that. Of cause, President Shai is nice to be with from my first sighting of him. I remember him coming out of the Sharaton lodge to the basement, I went to him, introduced myself as a student, I took is green bag and that was it, the rest is history, other students arrived and the meeting was held.

Finding UoPeople

Finding UoPeople is what I want to write about today:

I was despondent and thought for a while, does this mean that I would not actually meet my higher education goals?

The entire previous attempts at it seem abortive. I had to give it up at a time to focus on business in the real estate field with marketing and sales function. At the onset of the business I did well, rented out some properties and all seem well. But I heard voices of people that had concern for me to go back to school and finish up the hurdle. Just at the nick of time, what that later meant to me was, 'finding UoPeople'. What do I mean; well, I illustrated that I was somewhat frustrated trying to get a degree though I knew the importance of education and degree especially in Africa and Nigeria, my home country.

At one of those despondent moments, synonymous with confusion and anguish, asking myself why haven't I rounded up a degree program by now. I did an internet search for online colleagues and found UoPeople meeting. UoPeople came with lots and lots of interesting packages which I would share in my upcoming posts. UoPeople's website was built with a purpose to attract people with tertiary education dreams. I registered for a Business Administration Course at UoPeople and the rest is history, because by August 2014 I would have gotten a Diploma in Business Administration from the school, and by 2015, I would bagged my degree.

With the unanimous kindness of the school and its many supporters I have been able to achieve this fit. I celebrate UoPeople and all its supporters and partners. Most importantly I thank God, because I am having an accredited diploma and degree from UoPeople. The path to this height was not easy, but it was worth it. For example I got a scholarship at UoPeople and that means a waiving of $2020 and $4020. With a degree certificate from UoPeople, UoPeople is more like a reward for some of my work and service in the household of God. So, always remain fervent in serving God, you will be surprise of the various ways God can reward you and reshape your life.

Stay focus and keep updating.
